The North Allegheny ice hockey team opened the 2025-26 season with a 3-1 win over Mt. Lebanon Monday night from the Baierl Ice Complex.

The scoring opened up in the second period, with the Tigers earning the first goal of the game. Junior Ronan Gallagher scored unassisted just about two minutes into the middle frame. Ten minutes later, the Blue Devils answered on a Sean Hough even-strength goal.

NA reclaimed the lead in the final two minutes of the period on a goal scored by senior Joey Mitchell, assisted by junior Cedric Otey and senior Kyle Imm.

The Tigers had an insurance marker late in the third period from Mitchell on an empty net. Sophomore goalie Chris Costa earned the win in net, making 25 saves.
