Joey Dopirak Named All-WPIAL, Three Tabbed for Roundball Classic
North Allegheny senior forward Joey Dopirak was named All-WPIAL in Class 6A by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on Wednesday. The Dickinson College commit led the Tigers in scoring and rebounding this season, averaging 21.9 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per contest. For a look at the PG All-WPIAL teams, click here.
Dopirak is one of three Tigers tabbed for the annual Roundball Classic in the Class 6A vs. Class 5A Gold matchup, which will be played at North Allegheny on May 25 at 7:00 p.m. Dopirak will be joined by fellow seniors Ty Iwanonkiw and Anthony Sciote. Iwanonkiw will be playing collegiately at Cornell University and Sciote will play at the next level with York College. For a look at the Roundball Classic rosters, click here.
All three players were key to North Allegheny’s return to the WPIAL playoffs and second place finish in Section 1-6A this season.
