NA Drops Non-Section Contest At North Hills
The North Allegheny boys’ basketball team dropped a 75-68 decision on the road to North Hills on Thursday night in a non-section contest.
The Tigers held a 48-47 lead after three quarters, but a big fourth period for the Indians allowed the host team to prevail. Senior forward Joey Dopirak paced NA with a game-high 29 points. Senior guard Joe Marquis posted 12 points, while senior forward Paul Rubish and junior guard Carter Melzer chipped in with 10 points each.
For North Hills, Eric James led with 24 points, followed by Logan Johnson and Zach Pollard with 21 and 19 points, respectively.
North Allegheny slips to 3-6 on the season and North Hills improves to 3-3. The Tigers look to regroup against Franklin Regional on Thursday, Dec. 28 at the Holiday Bash at UPMC Court. The game will be broadcast live by the North Allegheny Sports Network.
