NA Grapplers Take 3rd Place At Franklin Regional Duals
The North Allegheny wrestling team earned a third place finish at the Franklin Regional Duals on Saturday against some of the best competition in the area.
The Tigers defeated Derry (57-15) and Norwin (44-16) in pool play to advance to the tournament round. NA was eventually cut down in the semifinals by the reigning WPIAL champion Franklin Regional Panthers, 42-27.
In the 3rd place consolation match, the Tigers rebounded with a 34-31 triumph over Connellsville.
North Allegheny’s grapplers will next take part in the Manheim Invitational over the holiday break on December 29 and 30.
