NA Ice Hockey Ousted By Canon-McMillan In PIHL Semifinals
The top-seeded North Allegheny ice hockey team was upended in the PIHL semifinals by the Canon-McMillan Big Macs on Tuesday night by a 7-0 decision. The Tigers split their regular season meetings with the Big Macs, but at the RMU Island Sports Complex it was Canon-McMillan who stunned NA in a rout.
Austin Tonkovich netted a hat trick for CM on his way to a four-point night. Conor Hartnett stopped all 23 shots he faced for the shutout. Canon-McMillan advances to the PIHL Class AAA championship on Saturday night at the Consol Energy Center.
