Five NA Grapplers Move On To The WPIAL Semifinals
It was another successful day for North Allegheny at the WPIAL Class AAA Individual Wrestling Tournament as the Tigers advanced five grapplers into the semifinals. Of the 10 Tigers who have competed in the tournament, eight still remain for tomorrow’s third and final day of action from host Canon-McMillan High School.
Of the Tigers moving on the semifinals, they include Luke Landefeld (113), Dom Forys (126), Jake Hinkson (132), Clay Byerly (182) and Zach Smith (195). Scotty Stossel fell in his quarterfinal bout at 120 pounds, but he’ll continue in the consolation bracket tomorrow morning. Earning first round consolation wins today were A.J. Boeh (138) and Drew Landefeld (145).

The semifinal round of the Class AAA Individual Wrestling Tournament begins at 10:30 am along with the second, third and fourth round consolations.
