NA Wins 8th Straight At North Hills, 43-15
The North Allegheny boys’ wrestling team earned its eighth consecutive victory on Monday night with a 43-15 section win at North Hills.
The Tigers jumped out to a 25-3 lead, powered by pin falls from Evan Schomburg (107), Gus Stedeford (121) and William Bentrim (133), and a major decision courtesy of Casey Walker (127).
The Indians gained some ground over the next five bouts and cut the NA lead to 31-15. However, with the win already at hand, the Tigers capped the victory with back-to-back pin falls by Aidan Buggey (215) and Bradyn McConneha (285).
With the win, North Allegheny improves to 11-2 overall and 2-0 in Section 2-AAA. North Hills falls to 7-2 overall and 1-1 in the section. The Tigers will host Butler on Wednesday. The dual meet will be broadcast live by the North Allegheny Sports Network.
