Tigers Blitz Obama Academy, 78-48

The North Allegheny boys’ basketball team cruised to a non-section win over Obama Academy on Tuesday night, 78-48. Playing in their second straight home contest, the Tigers took advantage of the friendly confines and shot 63-percent from the field in the second half to win in a rout.
It was an overall strong performance from the Tigers with nine players touching the score sheet and four reaching double figures. Senior Walker Davidson scored a game-high 18 points on 7 of 12 shooting and shot a perfect 3 for 3 from beyond the arc.
Senior Mike Egnaczyk also shot a perfect 3 for 3 from 3-point land and totaled 11 points. Mike Iuzzolino and Anthony Hattrup scored 13 and 11 points, respectively. Junior Luke Colella provided a spark off the bench with nine points.
North Allegheny improves to 3-2 on the season and will visit second-ranked Butler on Friday night in the Section 1-6A opener. Obama Academy slides to 1-2 on the year.
