NA Slams Gateway To Conclude Regular Season, 67-42
In their regular season finale, the playoff-bound North Allegheny Tigers defeated the Gateway Gators on the road on Monday night, 67-42. It’s the second time this season the Tigers have faced and defeated the Class 5A Gators in non-section play.
Leading 24-17 at the half, North Allegheny took command of the game by outscoring Gateway, 26-11, in the third quarter. The Tigers cruised in the fourth quarter en route to the 67-42 victory.
Three players finished in double figures for North Allegheny, led by senior Grant Timmerson with 15 points and seven rebounds. Junior Ethan Lake netted 14 points with perfect 4 for 4 shooting from beyond arc. Senior Zach Andreykovich posted 12 points and knocked down 4 of 7 from the perimeter.
North Allegheny sits at 11-11 overall, while Gateway dips to 10-11. Both teams await the release of the WPIAL playoff pairings on Tuesday night.
