The North Allegheny ice hockey team played host to Peters Township on Monday night at the Baierl Ice Complex. The Indians had the better of the play, coming up with a 4-1 victory.

Peters got on the board first in the middle stages of the opening period. Domenic Yosi scored the even-strength marker assisted by Erik Schlieper and Chay Lamagna.

The Indians added the second goal of the game in the late minutes of the second period on an even-strength goal from Thomas Dowden V, assisted by Brendan Monko.

In the third, Peters added another insurance marker eight minutes in.  Jacob Hlawati scored, assisted by Lamagna and Blake Evancic. North Allegheny found late life with a goal from junior Cedric Otey, who scored unassisted on a breakaway in the middle of the period. Evancic added a power-play goal to officially seal the deal for the Indians with less than two minutes left.

Senior Drew Pompa made his second consecutive start in goal for the Tigers and registered 19 saves.

North Allegheny falls to 6-6 on the season and has a break from league play until after the New Year. NA is back in action at home on January 8th against Pine-Richland. That 9:00 p.m. puck drop will be broadcast on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
