Tigers edged by Erie City, 50-44
The Tigers led most of the night, but fell to District 10 foe Erie City 50-44 Friday night in a non-section matchup.
North Allegheny jumped out early leading 15-14 after a quarter and 26-23 at the half. Ethan Lake and Grant Timmerson carried the offense in the first half hitting big outside shots.
Erie City made a run in the third period but the Tigers had the four point lead heading into the fourth quarter 40-36. In the fourth quarter Erie City’s defense revved up outscoring North Allegheny 14-4 in the quarter and completed the comeback winning 50-44.
Lake and Timmerson each had 13 points. Khalil Dinkins added 10 points.
The Tigers fall to 8-8 overall. Back to section play for North Allegheny as they head to Butler on Tuesday at 7:30 pm.
