Tigers Pummel Knights For Section Win
The North Allegheny wrestling team used eight pins to bury the Knoch Knights, 70-9, on Wednesday night in a Section 3-AAA matchup. The Tigers picked up wins by fall from Will Baierl (132), Jake Hinkson (138), Sean Hoover (160), Jake Woodley (170), Clay Byerly (182), Zach Smith (195), Jeff Clemens (220) and Layne Skundrich (285) for the landslide victory. Knoch won only two bouts on the night in a dominant showing by the Tigers.
North Allegheny improves to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in section action. Knoch falls to 0-2 overall and in the section. The Tigers will return to the mat on Saturday for the always competitive Franklin Regional Duals. Start time is set for 9:00 am.
