Tigers Regain Sole Possession Of 1st Place With Win At Butler

The North Allegheny boys’ basketball team bounced back from last week’s section loss to Pine-Richland with a 66-54 victory at Butler. The NA win, paired with a Central Catholic upset of the Rams last night, gives the Tigers sole possession of first place in the Section 3-AAAA standings.

The Tigers led Butler by three at halftime and increased the advantage with a strong second half.  Senior Cole Constantino led the Tigers with a game-high 16 points.  Senior Mike Fischer added 11 points in the victory. Butler was paced by Justice Lewandowski who netted 14 points.

North Allegheny improves to 15-2 overall and 7-2 in Section 3.  Butler slips to 11-7 overall and 4-6 in section play. The Tigers return home on Friday night for another section game against the Pittsburgh Central Catholic Vikings.  The game will be broadcast live via the internet as the MSA & Quad-A Conference Boys’ Basketball Game of the Week.
