Tigers tripped up in KSA Pre-Holiday Tournament Finale
North Allegheny finished up the KSA Pre-Holiday Tournament on Saturday afternoon, taking on the McDowell Trojans. Both teams came into play on Saturday, 1-1 in the tournament. McDowell jumped all over the Tigers in the first half and NA could never recover, falling by a score of 56-37.
The first quarter was a feeling-out period for both squads as no one got any real separation. North Allegheny trailed 11-8. McDowell got the offense going in the second quarter, outscoring the Tigers 17-8 in the period, and led 28-16 at the half. Justin Stalter had seven of the eight points in the second quarter. The Trojans continued to expand their lead in the third quarter to 16 before the Tigers battled in the fourth to play even, but ultimately fell 56-37.
Blake Craft led North Allegheny with 12 points. Stalter finished with 10 points.
North Allegheny falls to 5-3 overall. The Tigers return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Fox Chapel to take on the Foxes in section play. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
