Tigers Win Three In A Row

The North Allegheny ice hockey team took on Central Catholic from the Alpha Ice Complex on Thursday night. NA extended its win streak to three games in a row with a 3-1 victory.
The Tigers opened the scoring in the first period with a goal from senior Kyle Imm, assisted by fellow senior Joey Mitchell, just 1:08 into the contest. The Vikings responded just over three minutes later on a goal from Matteo Misiti. NA’s broke the tie just about two minutes later on an even-strength goal from junior Anthony Lucas.
After a scoreless second period, North Allegheny added an insurance marker in the middle stages of the third frame on a goal from Mitchell, assisted by Lucas.
Sophomore Chris Costa had another strong night in net, making 21 saves.
NA improves to 9-7 overall and continues road action Monday night against Franklin Regional. Puck drop from Palmer Imaging Arena is slated for 9:10 p.m.
