Fall Sports/FALL SPORTS
SEASON OPENS IN AUGUST
Welcome to the 2006 Fall Sports Season at North Allegheny High
School. The Tigers will begin play in all fall sports during the
month of August. Join us for previews, schedules, rosters, and game
stories during the upcoming season.
Golf(M)/BOYS' GOLF
TRYOUTS TO BEGIN ON AUGUST 14
First round tryouts for the boys' golf team for the 2006 season will begin
on Monday, August 14, at North Park. Please be aware that golfers
should average a score of 86 or less for an 18 hole round to be considered a
legitimate candidate for the team. (More)
Football/SEASON
TICKETS WILL GO ON SALE ON AUGUST 1
Season tickets for the Tigers' 2006 football season will go on sale on
Tuesday, August 1 in the Athletic Office. Season tickets for all four
home games will be $26 and reserved parking passes are $16 for the season.
NO TICKETS will be sold before August 1.
Women's Football/NA TO
HOST WOMEN'S PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
On Saturday, August 5, it will be ladies' night in Western Pennsylvania.
The National Women's Football Association will host its championship game at
North Allegheny's Newman Stadium. The D.C. Divas and the Oklahoma City
Lightning will battle to determine the NWFA Champion. The stadium
gates will open at 5:30 pm and the kickoff is set for 7:00 pm. (More)
Baierl Center/SUMMER
HOURS CONTINUE FOR BAIERL CENTER
The Athletic Department has announced that summer hours will continue for
the Baierl Center of Excellence through the month of August. They are
as follows:
Monday - Friday --- 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Saturday --- 8:00 am to noon
The Baierl Center will be closed on Saturday, September 16, 2006.
Winter Sports/WINTER
SPORTS SCHEDULES NOW AVAILABLE
Schedules for most of the winter sports are now available. When the
additional schedules are completed, they will be added. For most
sports, play will begin in early December.

Hall of Fame/NA HALL OF
FAME CONTINUES MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
The North Allegheny Athletic Hall of Fame is currently conducting its
annual membership drive. All athletes who graduated in, or before,
2002 are eligible for consideration. To nominate an athlete, you
must be a member of the Hall of Fame Association. (More)
NA Sports/TIGER TEAMS
CAPTURE THIRD STRAIGHT MSA SPORTS CUP
The Tiger teams won their third straight MSA Sports Cup Championship in
Class AAAA for the best sports program in the WPIAL. NA posted 925
points to finish well ahead of second-place Mt. Lebanon with 700 points.
Points are awarded for success in each sport with at least 25% participation
of WPIAL schools. (More)
Football/COACH ART
WALKER TO ATTEND NFL YOUTH FOOTBALL SUMMIT
Head Football Coach Art Walker has been selected to attend the NFL Youth
Football Summit in Canton, OH on August 3-5. The NFL Youth Football
Summit is a three day educational and interactive conference for leaders in
youth and high school football. Coach Walker was selected as
Pennsylvania's delegate to attend the summit based upon his strong
commitment to the sport, his dedication to the game of football, and his
mentorship of young people. (More)
