
Football Senior Class Officially Confirms College Selections

The North Allegheny Football seniors have officially decided where they are playing at the next level. Head Coach Art Walker and the players met for a signing photo opportunity on Thursday.
Three seniors including Jack Yatchenko, Nick Humphries and Peter Notaro made their signings official in December.
Three more players officially inked their letters of intent this week including Liam Flaherty, Dylan Brokos and Gabe Porter to John Carroll University, Baldwin Wallace University and Allegheny College respectively.

Flaherty first made his commitment announcement official in late January of this year. He was a Big 56 All-Conference first-team selection at running back this season. He was a second-team Big 56 linebacker last season. In just six games this year, he had 224 yards on the ground, averaging 5.2 yards per carry with three touchdowns. He also had six catches for 52 yards. On defense, Flaherty registered 28 tackles with 3.5 sacks while recovering a fumble. Liam’s season was cut short due to injury.

Brokos also made his college decision back in late January of this year. The running back had 86 carries for 419 yards and five touchdowns on the season, averaging 4.9 yards per carry. He also had seven receptions for 67 yards and a score through the air.

Porter announced his commitment back in July of last year. He was a starter along the offensive line and a contributor with the other signees in a WPIAL Championship and PIAA state title appearance in 2023.
