NA dominant in series opener against North Hills
North Allegheny traveled to North Hills High School to take on the Indians in game one of their Section 1-6A series on Monday night. The Tigers got five runs in the first inning and rolled from there en route to a 10-0 victory.
Jake Fritz and Dominic Williamson each had three hits. Nate Fritz and Carter Boehm had two hits a piece. Boehm drove in four runs while Williamson had three RBIs. Christian Simons, Williamson and Nate Fritz all doubled.
Liam Cooper got the win posting a complete game shutout. He allowed two hits and struck out seven.
North Allegheny improves to 10-5 overall and 7-3 in the section. North Hills falls to 2-14 overall and 1-9 in section play. The Tigers and Indians square off again tonight at North Allegheny at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
