The North Allegheny baseball team fell in game two of a three-game series against section foe Seneca Valley on Tuesday night, 9-0. The outcome snaps a five-game winning streak for the Tigers.

Junior Zach Tkatch got the start for the Raiders and limited the Tigers to four hits in 6.1 scoreless innings with three walks and six strikeouts to improve to 6-0 on the season.

Seneca Valley capitalized on 11 free passes from NA pitchers (nine walks and two hit batsmen) and did enough offensively to even the series with the Tigers. The Raiders broke a scoreless tie with a four-run fourth inning, adding two runs in the fifth, two in the sixth and one more in the seventh. Mike Delduca and Hunter Troiano each went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

North Allegheny senior Spencer Barnett was 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and several outstanding defensive plays to earn Wright Automotive Player of the Game honors.

Junior David Posey takes the loss, his first of the season, allowing four runs (three earned) in four innings on the bump.

North Allegheny sits at 10-3 overall and 6-2 in Section 1-6A, while Seneca Valley improves to 12-3 overall and 5-3 in the section. The Tigers and Raiders will meet again on Thursday in the rubber match of the series at Seneca Valley at 4:00 p.m.
