Senior Nico Varlotta has decided where he will continue his academic and athletic career next fall. The pitcher announced on social media Thursday he committed to North Alabama.

During his junior campaign, Varlotta tossed 19.2 innings in five games and three starts from the mound. He ended the season with a 2.13 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 16 strikeouts while stranding 17 runners on base.

Nico also played the outfield or served as the team’s designated hitter over 20 games in the 2024 season. He batted .333 from the plate with 14 total hits, a home run, seven RBI, six runs and three walks. Varlotta had eight putouts in the field.
