MEET SUMMARIES

BOYS' TEAM WINS SLIPPERY ROCK INVITATIONAL; GIRLS SECOND BUT CLOSE GAP

The Tiger boys' team easily defeated Mt. Lebanon to win the Slippery Rock Invitational on Saturday morning at Cooper's Lake Campground. NA compiled a team total of 48 points as they had four runners in the top nine led by junior Justin Taylor's fifth place finish. Sophomore Chase Broussard was 6th, sophomore Will Appman 8th, and junior Matt Jacob 9th.

Mt. Lebanon edged the Lady Tigers by only seven points, 101-108. Leading the way for NA was freshman Lindsay Holdcroft who came in 10th.

The Tiger teams will be back in action again on Tuesday afternoon when they host Hampton and Pine-Richland at the NAI course. The scheduled starting time for the meet is 3:30 pm.

TIGER TEAMS WIN OPENER WITH KNOCH

Both the girls' and boys' teams were victorious in the opening section meet of the season against Knoch on Tuesday afternoon at the NAI course. The Lady Tigers defeated Knoch, 19-44, while the boys shut out the Knights, 15-50.

Freshman Lindsay Holdcroft led the way for the Lady Tigers finishing first followed by junior Laura Ochs in third place and sophomore Dana Preston in fourth. NA captured 18 of the top 20 places.

In the boys' meet, junior Matt Jacob was first overall. He was followed by a tight pack of six NA runners who crossed the finish line together. They included sophomore Will Appman, sophomore Chase Broussard, junior Jake Holdcroft, junior Dan O'Brien, Matt Turner, and senior Matt Conti. The boys took 16 of the top 20 places.

The Tiger teams will be in action again on Saturday at the Slippery Rock Invitational. The starting time for the meet is set for 8:30 am.

TIGERS WIN RED, WHITE AND BLUE INVITATIONAL;
LADY TIGERS FINISH SECOND

Led by junior Matt Jacob's fifth place finish, the Tigers won the Red, White and Blue Invitational for the second straight year. NA had five runners place in the top 21. Freshman Lindsay Holdcroft came in ninth as the Lady Tigers finished second for the second consecutive year behind Mt. Lebanon.

For the boys' squad, in addition to Jacob's 5th, junior Jake Holdcroft was 11th, sophomore Chase Broussard 12th, junior Dan O'Brien 16th and sophomore Will Appman 21st as the Tigers totaled 65 points to second place Mt. Lebanon's 92.

The Lady Tigers trailed Lebo, 94-119, in the team standings. After Holdcroft's ninth place, junior Jackie Sokulski came in 17th and sophomore Dana Preston 26th.

The Tiger teams will host Knoch and North Hills on Tuesday in the first section meet of the year. The scheduled starting time is set for 3:30 pm on the NAI course.
