DAVIS LEADS TIGERS OVER RIVAL Junior Jim Davis posted a one-over 36 to lead the Tigers to a 189-210 section victory over rival North Hills at Diamond Run on Tuesday afternoon. Senior Grant Martens added a 37, while juniors Donny Lewis and Byron Doll recorded 38s as NA broke a two-match losing streak. With the win, NA improved their section record to 3-2, the overall mark to 4-2. The Tigers will travel to Sewickley this afternoon for a 4:00 pm non-section match against the Panthers. MATCH SUMMARY
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * BUTLER DOWNS TIGERS, 194-207, TO HAND The Tigers dropped their second straight section match on Thursday afternoon at Butler CC when the Butler Tornado downed NA, 194-207. The win marked the first time in four years that Butler had defeated the Tigers. Senior Grant Martens paced NA with a one over 36. Andrew Shakely and Antonio Baroffio both recorded even par 35s to pace the Tornado. The Tigers will be back in action again on Tuesday when they host rival North Hills at Diamond Run. The section match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 pm. MATCH SUMMARY
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * SENECA VALLEY STOPS TIGERS, 185-199 The Seneca Valley Raiders handed the Tigers their first loss of the season with a 185-199 win at Cranberry Highlands on Tuesday afternoon. Senior Grant Martens and junior Byron Doll both posted three over 38s to pace NA. Junior Jim Davis was a stroke back with a 39. Andrew Tang and Connor McCaffrey shot one over 36s to lead the Raiders. With the loss, the NA section record fell to 2-1, the overall mark to 3-1. The Tigers will travel to Butler tomorrow afternoon for a key section match against the Tornado. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * DAVIS LEADS TIGERS OVER FRANKLIN
Junior Jim Davis posted a two-under 33 to lead the Tigers to a 181-200 non-section victory over Franklin Regional at Diamond Run on Wednesday afternoon. Senior Grant Martens shot a one-under 34 and three other NA golfers were under 40 as the Tigers had their best day of the season in winning their third straight match without a loss. NA will be back in action again next Tuesday when they travel to Seneca Valley to meet the Raiders in a section contest. Match time is scheduled for 3:30 pm. MATCH SUMMARY

The Tigers defeated New Castle, 195-219, at Sylvan Heights GC on Tuesday afternoon for their second straight section win without a loss. Senior Grant Martens led the way with a two-over 37 while junior Jim Davis posted a 38. Junior Donny Lewis, pictured above with friend, was named the King's Player of the Year. The Tigers will host Franklin Regional this afternoon in a non-section match. The starting time at Diamond Run is scheduled for 3:30 pm. MATCH SUMMARY
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * TIGERS CRUSH NORTHGATE, 191-285, The Tigers opened defense of their section crown with an easy 191-285 victory over Northgate at Shannopin Country Club on Thursday afternoon. Senior Grant Martens led the way with a one under 34 while three NA golfers --- juniors Donny Lewis, Byron Doll and Jim Davis --- tied for second place with 38s. Matt Bevan had a 52 to pace the Flames. Last year, the Tigers posted a 12-2 record in winning the section along with a 14-4 overall mark. NA finished in third place in the WPIAL Team championships. The Tigers will travel to New Castle on Tuesday afternoon for a 3:30 pm section match. MATCH SUMMARY
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * TIGERS TAKE SECOND IN PETERS Playing in brutal conditions according to NA Coach DeDe Rittman, the Tigers managed a second place finish at the Peters Township Invitational on Monday morning. Junior Donny Lewis shot a 74 to claim medalist honors with senior Grant Martens finishing in fourth place with a 76. The Tigers finished with a total of 404 with the host Indians claiming the title with a 393. Chris Resnik led Peters with a score of 75. Junior Jim Davis posted an 81 for the Tigers. The Tigers were scheduled to open section play this afternoon when they hosted the Shaler Titans at Diamond Run. Rains and storms have cancelled the match. NA will travel to Northgate on Thursday afternoon for a section match. The scheduled starting time is set for 3:30 pm. PETERS TOWNSHIP INVITATIONAL
