* MATCH SUMMARIES * COMPETITION CONCLUDES AT WPIAL (10/4/11) North Allegheny's Lizzie Hammel, Ryanne Tyler, and Marlee Tyler, competed at the WPIAL Individual Finals at Longue Vue on Tuesday afternoon. Ryanne Tyler finished first among her teammates with a 92. However, she was unable to advance to advance to the PIAA Western Regionals, finishing five strokes behind the cut line of 87. Ryanne's sister Marlee ended her round with a 96, while Hammel shot a 98. Butler's Marissa DeCola won the event with an even-par 72. The Girls Golf team will be back in action on Monday, October 10, at the WPIAL team semifinals.

NA ENDS REGULAR SEASON WITH WIN OVER PINE-RICHLAND (9/29/11) The Lady Tigers ended the regular season with a 187-196 victory over section foe Pine-Richland on Wednesday afternoon. The victory ensures the Tigers a first place tie with Butler atop the section. The North Allegheny was led by junior Lizzie Hammel and sophomore Kelsey Phillips who each shot a 44 on the day. Ryanne Tyler posted a 48, while younger sister Marlee Tyler shot a 52. Sophomore Molly Durham notched a 51 to help NA to the victory. Pine-Richland's Maura Kelly had the overall low score of the day with a 38. However, it was not enough to keep the Rams from falling to the Lady Tigers. North Allegheny ends the regular season with a 12-3 record and a 7-1 mark in the section. The Tigers will await the WPIAL Team Semifinals on Monday, October 10. Before that, Hammel and the Tyler sisters will take part in the WPIAL Individual Finals on Tuesday, October 4. MATCH SUMMARY
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * LADY TIGERS DROP FIRST HOME MATCH OF SEASON, 183-198 (9/27/11) North Allegheny dropped a non-section match on Tuesday afternoon, losing to Upper St. Clair 183-198. It was the first time all season the Lady Tigers were defeated at their home course of Shannopin. Lizzie Hammel led the way for North Allegheny, shooting a solid 44 over her nine hole round. She was closely followed by Kelsey Phillips (48) and Ryanne Tyler (49). Marlee Tyler rounded out the scoring for the Lady Tigers with a 57. Melissa Kearney shot the low round of the day, finishing with a 42 to push the Panthers to (7-1) on the year. With the setback, North Allegheny moves to (11-3) on the season. They will look to get back on track Wednesday at Pine-Richland, in their final match of the regular season. Tee time is set for 4:00 pm at Shannopin. MATCH SUMMARY
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * LADY TIGERS SWEEP SHALER, (9/26/11) North Allegheny earned a section win over Shaler, and took down the Bethel Park Blackhawks in a sweep at Shannopin Country Club on Monday afternoon. The Lady Tigers took down Shaler by a 182-243 and beat BP by a 182-217 final, led by Ryanne Tyler's 42. Kelsey Phillips closely followed with a 43 and Lizzie Hammel wasn't far behind with a 45. Rounding out the scores, Molly Durham shot a 52 for North Allegheny. The Lady Tigers improve to 11-2 on the season and 6-1 in the section. North Allegheny will take to the course again on Tuesday with home match-up against Upper St. Clair. Tee time is set for 3:30 pm at Shannopin. MATCH SUMMARY

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * LADY TIGERS TAKE CARE OF GATORS, 172-264 (9/22/11) North Allegheny easily defeated Gateway, 172-264 in a non-section match at Murrysville Golf Course on Thursday. Kelsey Phillips led the way for the Tigers, equaling her season-best with a 40. Ryanne Tyler also matched her season-best by shooting a 43. Both girls had set their marks early in the season, with Phillips shooting a 40 in the Lady Tigers' first match against Butler and Tyler finishing with a 43 against Franklin Regional on August 24. Lizzie Hammel and Molly Durham rounded out the scoring for North Allegheny, each shooting 45 through the nine holes of competition. The Lady Tigers will face both Shaler and Bethel Park on Monday in their next match. Tee time at Shannopin is set for 3:30. MATCH SUMMARY
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * HAMMEL, TYLER SISTERS ADVANCE TO WPIAL INDIVIDUAL FINALS (9/20/11) On what started as a gray and rainy day at the Shannopin Country Club, ended with sunshine and three incandescent Lady Tiger golfers finishing in the top five at the WPIAL Division 1, Section 1 Qualifier on Tuesday. Senior Ryanne Tyler, junior Lizzie Hammel and sophomore Marlee Tyler all made the cut, qualifying for the WPIAL Individual Finals on October 4. Earning section gold was Butler’s Marissa DeCola who posted a remarkable 76 for the day. No one came close to touching DeCola’s score, but Shaler’s Mallorey Stack took second place by shooting a 91. Then the Lady Tigers’ trio of Hammel and the Tyler sisters laid claim to the final three spots to qualify for the WPIAL finals. Ryanne Tyler started strong with a 44 in the front nine, on her way to a 93. Marlee Tyler shot a solid 47 on the back nine for a 96. Marlee finished the day tied with Hammel who shot an impressive 42 on the front nine. Not making the cut, but competing hard was NA’s Kelsey Phillips who shot a 102 and Katie Sitterle who shot a 129. On day that North Allegheny player well, Butler played great to hand the Tigers their first section loss of the season. North Allegheny received strong play from Lizzie Hammel who scored a team low 44. She was followed by Kelsey Phillips' 45 and Ryanne Tyler's 46. Marlee Tyler posted a 48. However, the Golden Tornado were led by Marissa DiCola, who notched an exceptional score of 39. The loss drops North Allegheny to 8-2, and 5-1 in section play. Butler pulls themselves into a first place tie with the Lady Tigers atop the section. NA will take part in the Section Qualifier today at Shannopin with tee time set for 9:00 am. MATCH SUMMARY
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * NA TAKE 4th AT CENTRAL DAUPHIN CLASSIC (9/19/11) - The Lady Tigers earned a fourth place finish at the Central Dauphin Girls Golf Classic this weekend. Lizzie Hammel was the top golfer for NA with a score of 95, good for a 16th place finish at the tournament. Ryanne Tyler followed closely with a 97, giving her an 18th place showing at the golf classic. Kelsey Phillips scored a 99 and Marlee Tyler rounded things out with a 105. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * NA GIRLS GOLF DEFEATS RAIDERS (9/14/11) - The Lady Tigers improved to 8-1 on the year, defeating section foe Seneca Valley, 179-214, at their home course of Shannopin. North Allegheny showed remarkable consistency with all four scorers finishing within two strokes of each other. Marlee Tyler led the way with a 45. Hot on her heels were Ryanne Tyler and Lizzie Hammel, each with a 46, and Katie Sitterle with a 47. The win improved the girls' home record at Shannopin to 4-0, and their section record to 5-0. They will be back in action Saturday when they travel a tournament at Blue Ridge Country Club, an event rescheduled from last weekend after heavy rain washed out competition. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * HAMMEL LEADS GIRLS GOLF TO WIN OVER RAMS (9/8/11) - All four North Allegheny scorers broke 50 for the second straight day, leading the Lady Tigers to their seventh victory of the season, a 179-214 win against Pine-Richland at Shannopin Country Club. Lizzie Hammel led the field with a season best 42. For the second time in as many days, Kelsey Phillips and Ryanne Tyler tied on the scorecard, each finishing with a 44. Katie Sitterle rounded out the scoring for North Allegheny, shooting a 49, helping the Lady Tigers to their lowest team score of the season. The win improved the Girls Golf team to 7-1 on the season, with a 4-0 record within the section. They will compete in the Blue Ridge Country Club Tournament on Saturday afternoon, before resuming section play in the middle of next week. Tee time Saturday is scheduled for 1:00 pm. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * LADY TIGERS IMPROVE TO 6-1 AFTER WIN (9/7/11) - The Lady Tigers bounced back from their first loss of the season, defeated section foe Shaler on Wednesday afternoon at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course. Kelsey Phillips and Ryanne Tyler each shot a 47 to lead North Allegheny. Carolyn Jack and Lizzie Hammel were close on their heels, as both finished with a 48. Mallory Stack led the host Titans with a 43. The loss dropped Shaler to 0-4 in section play, while the Lady Tigers improved their section record to 3-0, entering a crucial stretch of conference opponents. In three of their next four events, North Allegheny will meet section foes, including Pine-Richland on Thursday at Shannopin, as they gear up for Section Qualifiers on Sept. 20. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * NA SPLITS TRI-MATCH AT FOX CHAPEL (9/3/11) - The Lady Tigers earned a split in their tri-match at Fox Chapel on Friday, defeating Norwin 201-241 and falling to the Lady Foxes, 181-201. North Allegheny's individual scores were identical in both matches with sophomore Kelsey Phillips pacing the Lady Tigers with a 46. Junior Lizzie Hammel followed closely behind by shooting a 47. Sisters Marlee Tyler and Ryanne Tyler contributed with scores of 51 and 57 respectively. The team score of 201 was more than enough to take down Norwin, but against a very tough Fox Chapel team it wasn't enough. For Norwin, Britani Algeri posted the team best score of 55. For the Lady Foxes, Katerina Luttner had the match low of 38. The Lady Tigers will hope for another shot at Fox Chapel later in the season. In the meantime, NA's next contest is slated for Tuesday afternoon with a non-section tri-match against Blackhawk and Mt. Lebanon at North Allegheny's home course at Shannopin. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * GIRLS GOLF STRETCHES WIN STREAK TO FOUR AT SENECA VALLEY (8/29/11) - The Lady Tigers kept their winning streak alive Monday afternoon at Connoquenessing Country Club, defeating host Seneca Valley 198-227. Junior Lizzie Hammel led the way with a 44, while Kelsey Phillips and Ryanne Tyler each shot a 50. North Allegheny is off to a stellar 4-0 start, including 2-0 in section play. With the loss, Seneca Valley drops to 0-4. Although the season is barely a week old, the Lady Tigers have already faced a quarter of their section competition, having defeated Butler and Seneca Valley, with Shaler and Pine-Richland still to come in the middle of next week. North Allegheny will face each section foe again in the second half of the season, including Seneca Valley again on Wednesday, September 14. The Lady Tigers return to action on Friday, facing both Fox Chapel and Norwin in non-section competition from Pittsburgh Field Club Golf Course. Tee time is set for 4:00 pm. MATCH SUMMARY

Marlee Tyler rounded out the scoring with a 52. Butler’s Marissa DiCola shot the low score of the day with a 39, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Golden Tornado from going down to defeat. North Allegheny improves to 3-0 on the season and 1-0 in the section. Butler drops to 1-1 on the year. (8/23/11) - The North Allegheny Lady Tigers have opened the year with a quick 2-0 start thanks to a 189-196 victory over Franklin Regional on Tuesday. As she did in the season opener against Peters Township, Ryanne Tyler led the way for NA by shooting a 43. Tyler's was the low score for the day, but junior Lizzie Hammel closely followed with a 45. Kelsey Phillips posted a 48 and Marlee Tyler notched a 51 to help the Lady Tigers to the victory. Franklin Regional was paced by Sarah Kizzuti who shot a 45. While North Allegheny remains undefeated, the Lady Panthers fall to 1-1 on the season.
Next up for the Lady Tigers is a section match with Butler to open the Section-1 schedule. Butler was the only team to defeat North Allegheny in section play last season and NA will try to avenge that loss on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 pm at Shannopin. MATCH SUMMARY

(8/22/11) - Girls golf returned to action Monday afternoon, defeating visiting Peters Township, 187-193, at Shannopin. Senior Ryanne Tyler and sophomore Kelsey Phillips led the team with a pair of 46's, while junior Lizzie Hammel kept pace with a 47. Lady Tiger golfers Marlee Tyler and Carolyn Jack also finished strong, shooting 48 and 52, respectively. Harmony Shepardson shot the low round of the day, finishing with a 43 for the Indians.
The girls will return to action on Tuesday afternoon when they travel to Franklin Regional to take on the Lady Panthers at Murrysville Golf Club. Tee time is set for 2:30. MATCH SUMMARY
