Young also led the Tigers with three home runs and provided stellar play defensively, earning all-star laurels from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Trib HSSN. Young was the first freshman to ever be named to the PG’s All-Area all-star team. Young is verbally committed to Duke University.

In eight games as a freshman, Posey hit .263 (5 for 19), a home run and seven RBI.

North Allegheny went 19-7 last season and advanced to the WPIAL and PIAA final four.
