Tigers Gash Gateway, 13-2
The North Allegheny baseball team made its return from Florida with a blowout win at Gateway on Wednesday afternoon, 13-2, in five innings. The Tigers pounded out 13 hits and scored nine runs over the final two innings to claim their third regular season victory of the season.
Every member of the NA starting lineup had at least a hit or an RBI in a complete team performance. Alex Mesaros, Bobby Brown and Jake Fischbaugh all had two RBI’s apiece for the Tigers. Stefan Rozick had a 3 for 3 day with two runs scored. On the mound, Ben Marsico (1-0) pitched a complete game and stuck out six batters in his five innings on the bump.
North Allegheny improves to 3-1 overall with the non-section win. Gateway slips to 2-3 on the season. The Tigers are schedule to host Hampton today in another non-section affair, weather permitting.
