CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS GET SWEET ENDING IN HERSHEY
The North Allegheny boys cross country team capped off a tremendous season with a state championship this weekend in Hershey, PA. Not only did the boys team win the PIAA title, in Class AAA, but senior Ryan Gil claimed first place in the state, besting his third place finish in the PIAA race a year ago. Also running strong with a top 10 finish was junior Logan Steiner who finished in seventh place. The PIAA boys' team title is NA's 11th, last done by the Tigers in 1997.
Meanwhile, the girls team also ended the year with success by taking home a third place trophy in their race. Senior Eleni Mermigas had the best finish for the Lady Tigers at 15th. Sophomore Alex Gambill finished 21st respectively. All of North Allegheny's results from the PIAA Class AAA State Meet are below.
